Electors' Meetings

In accordance with the Local Government Act 1995 s. 5.26 a general meeting of electors is held every year. This meeting must be held within 56 days of Council’s acceptance of the Annual Report for the previous financial year. Practically this means that the Shire’s auditors finalise their audit of the previous financial year’s accounts in October or November, staff prepare the Annual Report, which is presented to Council in December, and the Electors Meeting is then scheduled anytime within the 56 days following acceptance.

Matters to be discussed at a general electors meeting are, firstly, the contents of the Annual Report for the previous financial year and then any other general business. Members of the public are welcome to ask questions.

Notice of General Meeting of Electors

In accordance with section 5.27 of the Local Government Act 1995 the Shire of Wickepin invites electors to attend the Annual General Meeting of Electors.

The purpose of the meeting is to present the Shire of Wickepin 2023-2024 Annual Report and any other general business.
